Linc Ed
Now that we have completed back mapping and gone live with goals we thought it might be helpful to run through a couple of options to insert student evidence into linc ed.
We will run a techie Brekkie this Thursday, June 6th to offer further help with this. Please come with questions and any other good ways or ideas regarding how to show evidence.
Linc Ed Evidence

- Take a photo and have students scribe or highlight over it on seesaw explaining what they have done.
- Set up a linc ed evidence folder on your computer name and save the photo to this folder.

- Go to the student's page on linc ed. In the appropriate curriculum folder (reading, writing, maths) click share something and write a comment on what the student has achieved.
- Upload the photo by clicking in drag and drop files here to access it in your linc ed folder.
- Linc to appropriate key competencies and goals.
2. Video
- Take a video of a student showing evidence of a goal.
- Save it to your own google drive or the Bayfield school google drive. (If saving it to the Bayfield school drive save it to your team folder.)
- Please let us know if you need user name and password details to this.
- Go to the student's page on linc ed. In the appropriate curriculum folder (reading, writing, maths).
- Click share something and write a comment on what the student has achieved.
- Upload the video by clicking in access your google account.
- Linc to appropriate key competencies and goals.
Seesaw Global Classroom
Recently the Kowhai and Pohutukawa Teams made a Global connection with School in Texas. Each day they swapped posts on a seesaw classroom and found out about each others schools, lives and countries. Not only did students gain an insight into the life of an American student they loved showing off their work and explaining how they learn, play and enjoy school life. See below a link for more information.

This initiative is an ideal way to incorporate the our key strategic goal of connect (Tuhono) into your programmes.
Digital Curriculum Update
We are excited to announce that our application for PD to help with training and establishment of the digital curriculum has been accepted. We have been awarded 80 hours of training and have commissioned David Kinane to help us. this will run from term 4 through to mid 2020. The aim will be to give you practical training to enable you to feel comfortable teaching the digital curriculum
David is a digital education expert who you may remember from his previous time at Bayfield. He has a lot of expertise with Maker Space and is going to help us to set up the Bayfield Maker Space in room 3.
Interested in learning some new digital and STEM skills?
Please can we have a volunteer from each team to become a digital ambassador. This is an opportunity to upskill your digital kite through the Digital Readiness Programme and training with David Kinane. No previous experience required. It will involve around an hour per week initially to complete the online digital readiness course. Once up and running in terms 4 and 1 of next year, release time will be given for sessions with David in electronics, coding and STEM projects.
